Sloppy Joe's
Sloppy Joe’s are a favorite comfort food for the young and old. Who does not enjoy that mixture of ground beef, spicy/savory tomato sauce and onions on a fresh hamburger bun? Sloppy Joe’s are easy to make and great for parties or family events.
This recipe can be easily prepared on the stovetop or in a slow cooker.

2 Medium or 1 Large onion diced. |

3 to 4 Colored Sweet Peppers cleaned and diced |

28 oz. can of your favorite tomato sauce. If you would like a saucier Sloppy Joe add a small 12- |
|
2 lbs of Ground Round or Sirloin. We recommend the leaner cuts of beef for this dish |
|
1 cup brown sugar. |

Your favorite Sloppy Joe Spice Mix or you can make your own by combining 2 Tablespoon (T) Worcestershire Sauce, 1 T Dry Mustard, 1 T Spicy Mustard, 1 Teaspoon (t) Garlic Powder and 2 t Chili Powder |

1 oz. Cooking Oil (can be Vegetable, Canola, Soy, Olive or any good grade of cooking Oil). We recommend a good Olive Oil. |

[Optionally] Add some fresh sausage to the ground beef for a wonderful flavor twist. |
